PARTY PROGRAMS

|
Parties at Indy Slots can be geared to any age group or organization. While there is plenty of viewing and pit space, our basic birthday party package covers up to 8 participants/drivers and takes about 2 hours to complete. Generally, we start off with a quick introductory lesson on how to drive a slot car. Then we power up our 1/24 scale track for 30-minutes of open pratice. We supply all the cars, contorllers, and back-up cars (in the event of a serious crash) and let the party goers have fun learing how to drive the cars. After the pratice session, we take about a 30-minute break to let the cars cool down. This is when the party actually takes place as all the participants move to a reserved area where gift giving and/or refreshments can be served (supplied by you).
After the cool down period, Indy Slots personel will then host an exclusive race just for the participants. All cars and controllers will remain on the same colored lanes and racers will move from station to station racing for 1-minute on each lane. Including the down time for accidents, it usually takes 30-to-45 minutes to complete the race. At least 2 adults must also be present to assist in marshaling the cars during the race (i.e. help in placing the cars back on the track when the de-slot).
Upon completion of the race, a trophy will be awarded to the race winner (normally the birthday person if this is a birthday party), with finishing place ribbons for all other racers. Separate arrangements can be made for trophies for all of the racers and/or if you want the racers to keep their cars after the race.
Although our normal operating hours are in the evenings, after most people get off work and when the kids get out of school, we prefer to book parties during those times of the day when we are not open to the public. This gives us a chance to devote our full attention to your party rather than be distracted by our extensive race schedule. Accordingly, booking a party any time on a Monday (when we are normally closed) is an excellent time to have a party. Booking a party any time before 4PM on a week day is likewise a perfect slot. We do take reservations for parties during the spring and summer for the weekends; however, we either preferr starting early between 8AM-10AM on Saturday or later in the evening on Saturdays (after 7PM) and Sundays (after 4PM).
The price for a standard party is $75.00 which includes up to 8 racers with matched rental cars and controllers. Included is use (and cleaning) of our facility for carry-in refreshments with tables and seating. An individual track steward is assigned to your party to repair cars, run the race, and provide "how-to" instructions as well as award the trophy and ribbons after the race. The cost for each racer beyond the cover 8 is $8.00 per racer and a $25.00 deposit for booking a party is a normal requisite. Deposits can be refunded with up to 1-week cancellation notice, but are non-refundable thereafter.
We can, however, accomidate larger groups. Indeed, we can customize packages that include exclusive use of our entire facility on an hourly basis using all 7 of our indoor tracks. Covered in such packages can be catered events, our PA system, refrigeration, additional personel, etc. The idea at Indy Slots is to provide you with a unique party that fits your agenda.
